Water on the Move!

The Roman Empire built a series of aqueducts (structures built to convey water) that carried water throughout the city. These aqueducts provided water for Rome's citizens and also for the Vigiles to use. This water system was very advanced for its time.
This picture shows a structure that was part of an aqueduct that was built by the Roman Empire. It was taller than an eight-story building.
